The Olowu of Owu Abeokuta, Professor Saka Matemilola has assured the sons and daughters of Owu kingdom that their meaningful contributions to the kingdom’s growth would not go unnoticed.

Oba Matemilola gave the assurance at the ceremony for the installation of a renowned Owu-born business mogul, Alhaji Ismail Akindele as the Baba Adeen of Owu kingdom and his wife, Alhaja Sidiqoh as the Sanmori Adeen of the kingdom.

Oba Matemilola gave the assurance at the ceremony for the installation of a renowned Owu-born business mogul, Alhaji Ismail Akindele as the Baba Adeen of Owu kingdom and his wife, Alhaja Sidiqoh as the Sanmori Adeen of the kingdom.

Earlier, the Sultan of Owu kingdom, Dr M. A. Ola Yusuf had emphasized that the choice of Alhaji Ismail Akindele as the New Baba Adeen of Owu kingdom was based on Integrity and good conduct rather than materialistic gains, urging the recipient to  sustain the good deeds.

Responding, Alhaji Ismail Akindele appreciated the programme’s organisers and pledged his continuous assistance  and renewed commitment to making meaningful impacts on the people of Owu.

The New Baba Adeen also pledged further support in meeting the yearnings of the people, especially the construction of an ultra-modern hospital in Owu kingdom

The Turbaning held at the Owu Central Mosque in Abeokuta attracted notable leaders in Owu Kingdom, Egbaland and from different parts of the Country, including the Baba Adeen of Yorubaland, Edo and Delta, Ambassador Tunji Isola.
